Breathing Techniques


Breathing is the number one thing to know if you would like to be a good singer, it’s like a fighting stance for a martial artist, without it a singer will fail to deliver a strong attack and will fall easily
When you breathe in, just imagine you’re filling your lungs from the bottom up, like filling a glass of water, when you breathe properly, you can feel not just the front of your stomach expand, but also the side of it, this happens because you breathe in, your diaphragm moves downward to force air to come into your lungs, and that movement alters the position of the organs under it, so let your stomach expand when you breathe in to sing, just don’t hold back!
There are 3 Methods of Breathe in singing Teqnichues:
·         Chest Breathing, not recommended because it cause sore throat
·         Abdominal Breathing, not recommended because it cause exhausted
·         Diaphragm Breathing, highly recommended     




Diaphragm Breathing Practice  

Simple way to know your diaphragm work while you breathe in, push gently your lowest rib with your thumb, breathe in and if your thumb moves, you’re on Diaphragm Breathe Practice.
